CPHI Milan 2026: A Grand Stage, Valuable Conversations
Milan, Italy — In October 2026, Fischer Söhne AG was represented at CPHI Milan. This major international event covered the entire spectrum of the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries and was marked by a high level of energy and a positive atmosphere.
A Trade Show with International Appeal
The strong international presence was impressive. Customers, partners, and contacts particularly relevant to Fischer Söhne AG were concentrated mainly in our hall, which allowed for short distances and many direct encounters.
Particularly striking was the growing visibility and professionalism of Asian companies, which were represented with a strong on-site presence.
Fewer Visitors, High-Quality Contacts
Overall, we had the impression that the trade show attracted slightly fewer visitors than in previous years. This perception was shared by other exhibitors as well. However, the quality of the contacts was very high.
We had many interesting conversations with existing customers, partners, and potential new clients. The exchange of ideas on ongoing projects, market requirements, and future developments was extremely valuable for our team. We were also delighted to reconnect with former colleagues, long-time companions, and long-standing industry contacts.

Insights from Expert Presentations and Discussions
Numerous expert presentations and discussions provided important insights into future topics in the pharmaceutical and packaging industries. There was a palpable sense of strong innovation momentum in the areas of production, supply chains, and sustainability.
Sustainability as a Central Theme
Sustainability was one of the most discussed topics at the trade show. Many conversations centered on future solutions, materials, and regulatory requirements. As an end market, the pharmaceutical industry faces major challenges and expectations.
At the same time, we also recognize our responsibility as a plastics processor and packaging manufacturer. Sustainable solutions can only emerge through close collaboration across the entire value chain. Dialogue with customers, suppliers, and partners is crucial in this regard. Fischer Söhne AG is actively working with market partners to develop practical and sustainable solutions for the future.
Our assessment has been confirmed.
In our article prior to the trade show, we had already identified sustainability as one of the key challenges for the pharmaceutical and packaging industries. The discussions at CPHI confirmed this.
The industry is actively seeking solutions that reconcile environmental requirements, product safety, and regulatory guidelines. This is precisely why we are committed to collaboration, innovation, and an open exchange with customers and partners.
Teamwork at the Booth
The booth was bustling with energy from start to finish. The delicious Italian dinner in the evening provided the necessary energy, along with sweet treats featuring Italian specialties throughout the day. And, of course, a glass of grappa to aid digestion was a must.

What We’re Taking Away
CPHI Milan 2026 demonstrated just how international and dynamic the market is becoming. Even though visitor numbers seemed somewhat lower, the trade show impressed with the quality of the discussions. We’re returning with valuable insights and look forward to continuing the conversations we started in Milan.
Let’s continue the conversation.
