Swiss Plastics Expo 2026: Community, circularity, and hands-on plastics know-how
Lucerne, 22 January 2026 — From 20–22 January 2026, Fischer Söhne AG and Fischer Söhne Extrusion AG exhibited together at Swiss Plastics Expo in Lucerne. With ~200 exhibitors and around 3,800 visitors, the show once again proved to be the Swiss plastics community’s meeting point—from material suppliers and machine manufacturers to converters and solution providers.
What stood out on the show floor

Two topics ran through presentations and conversations alike: AI (from process monitoring to smart assistance) and sustainability (material efficiency, recyclates, circularity). The fair’s symposium featured 60 talks across two tracks, offering practical inputs on digital technologies and the circular economy—a strong framework for discussions at the stands.

Networking mattered just as much as technology. The Wine & Cheese gathering on day two created a relaxed setting for deeper exchanges; many visitors highlighted the value of quality time with suppliers and peers away from the busy aisles.
Highlights at our stand
Tubs & Nests. On the Fischer Söhne AG side, our Tub & Nest solutions once again drew attention for integration-ready aseptic handling and efficient line compatibility—a recurring highlight for visitors from diagnostics and pharma.

A small detail with big reach. Our cotton tote bags were spotted all over the hall—an unplanned but welcome sign of how far conversations from our stand traveled.

Community and knowledge transfer
Beyond equipment and materials, the KUNSTSTOFF.swiss “Zmorge” offered a friendly breakfast with excellent coffee, “Gipfeli,” and time to compare notes with fellow members—exactly the kind of exchange that keeps the Swiss plastics ecosystem vibrant.
Apprentices on tour

Because the show was close to home, our commercial apprentices joined the team to explain products and services, practice customer conversations, and explore the latest developments. Our plastics technician apprentices also toured the exhibits to see where the market is headed. True to form, they used the opportunity to create short TikTok clips—sharing a learner’s view of the industry with their peers. For us, this is training in action: real context, real questions, and real engagement.

Our takeaway

Swiss Plastics Expo 2026 was less about big deals on the day and more about meaningful connections: targeted discussions, new contacts, and invitations to continue technical exchanges—particularly around recyclate use, extrusion blow-molded conductive packaging, and line-ready life-science packaging. For Fischer Söhne, it was also the right moment to show the market our two-company setup:
- Fischer Söhne AG for injection molding, life-science components, and Tub & Nest;
- Fischer Söhne Extrusion AG for extrusion-blow-molded packaging, including standard and custom canisters with decoration and testing.
Together, this gives customers focused expertise with seamless collaboration—from concept and toolmaking to validated production, assembly, and logistics.
